Hello all Since almost one and a half year we are
intensely busy with our third album “The Edge Of Infinity”. We have
finished the preproduction February 27th and went to Wolfsburg
last march to record the successor of “Fables & Dreams” with
Sascha Paeth and Miro. All tracks are in the box and the mixing and
mastering starts April 10th 2006. We would like to thank the
fans for the splendid support! That influenced our creative process
positively and we could draw vigour through you also in very intense times.
We are sure that the new album will surpass “Fables & Dreams”. We publish now for the first time the titles of
our songs. The sequence of the tracks can still change up to the release: 1. Introduction We
were addressed frequently concerning the
cover song. Thank you very
much for the numerous suggestions. We decided shortly before the
recordings not to record a cover song for the forthcoming album. The
reason is very simple. We have had enough own songs for the new album and
we believe to speak for the fans if we prefer to put a self written song
on the album instead of a cover song. For the cover design of “The Edge Of Infinity”
we could win Matias Norén ( Stratovarius, Arena, Star One) who designed
already the Lunatica postcards for us. We like the drafts of the cover
artwork and the booklet already very much and we are very happy that with
Matias we have found somebody who can imagine himself into our songs and
render them into a fantastic picture language. For the intro of “The Edge Of Infinity” we
were looking for a speaker that duly opens the new album together with the
music. Dieter Meier, singer of the avant-garde masters Yello, was our wish
candidate. Due to our effort we could inspire also Dieter for our project
and win him as storyteller. “The Edge Of Infinity” is not a concept
album. Each song is standing for one topic- so does also the intro which
is telling an own story. For the song “EmOcean (The Dreamland)” we
engaged Oliver Hartmann for a duet. Oliver has participated also already
at various projects (look at www.oliverhartmann.com).
His most known project was probably “Avantasia”. He did a great job
also for us and we are happy to have him on board as a duet partner. A further point: the Swedish songwriter group of
the “Location-Studios” is contributing a song for Lunatica. The group
around Carl Falk and Sebastian Thott became known with the Backstreet Boys
and Britney Spears and are writing in the meantime songs for Bon Jovi,
Celine Dion and many others. We would like to thank Carl Falk, Sebastian
Thott, Lisa Green and the initiator Lars Lundin cordially for this
absolutely cool song. We appreciate it very much that such a big
songwriter team believes in us and we are really happy to have this song
on our new album. We think that “The Edge Of Infinity “is
going to be released worldwide at the end of August. Since we have no
influence on release dates and this is decided by our record company we
can’t answer exactly your questions concerning the release date. As soon
as it is certain we will inform you with pleasure. If you have any question or suggestion, please
write something in the forum or write an e-mail to info@lunatica.ch.
We always try to answer e-mails or forum entries within one week. By the way: in the gallery you can find new
photos that we did while doing the recordings. Last but not least: This is the moment to say a
big thank you to our fans which have evinced a big confidence to us
preordering the new album. This is not a matter of course. THANK YOU VERY
MUCH!!! We hope that you all like the new album! Have a good time and see you soon! Best wishes P.S: Don’t forget! September 23rd
2006 the album release party of “The Edge Of Infinity” will take place
at Schützi in Olten, Switzerland. The advance booking starts at the
beginning of June and we will tell you at the homepage how and where you
can order the tickets. |
